Located in a pre-war cooperative apartment in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, this kitchen renovation focused on enhancing the functionality, brightness, and social life in a compact kitchen space.
The client wanted to maximize available work surfaces and storage while creating a lighter atmosphere despite the kitchen's modest footprint and single courtyard-facing corner window. A soft yellow palette reflects light throughout the room and brings warmth to daily routines, while playful circular cabinet pulls add a subtle sense of character and joy.
Recognizing the dining area as the heart of the home, the design carefully balances cooking, working, dining, and hosting within a limited footprint. Thoughtful storage solutions and efficient planning allow the kitchen to support multiple activities while maintaining a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
