Interdisciplinary design studio
led by Sasha Topolnytska 
in New York City



FARMMM is a New York–based interdisciplinary design practice founded by Sasha Topolnytska. Working across scales and mediums—from soft sensory sculptures to architectural projects, research, and public installations—FARMMM explores how design can embody inclusivity, resilience, and joy.

Rooted in the idea of architecture beyond buildings, the practice creates spaces and experiences that nurture belonging, memory, and care. Acting as a form of soft activism, its work invites reflection on how environments shape empathy, safety, and collective well-being.

Through forms that invite interaction and imagination, FARMMM engages with complex conditions—questions of care, belonging, and the social aspects of design. The practice resists fixed formalism, embracing a layered, adaptive process that evolves through collaboration, material exploration, and close attention to context and human experience.Sasha Topolnytska is an architectural designer and educator whose design work has been awarded the NYCxDesign award, and collaborative projects have received support from the Center for Architecture AIA in NYC, the Chicago Architecture Center, the  Architectural League of NY, the New York State Council of the Arts, and the Design Trust for Public Space. Sasha was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University. 

Sasha currently teaches architecture design courses at the Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York and at Parsons School of Design. Prior to founding FARMMM, she worked at award-winning architecture and design firms, including TenBerke, Architecture + Information, and JG Neukomm Architecture.
