FabDye
Proposal for a BEAM Center Competition
2023
Architecture installation design, co-creative process
FabDye was a proposal for a BEAM Center youth summer camp meant to be designed in a co-creative process with the students. Gridded wood frames designed to hold collaged sheets of fabric allow the installation to take on various themes, reflecting the background of the group who makes it.
As part of the co-creating process, the students would design and stitch the fabric patterns together with FARMMM Studio using various techniques such as fabric dyeing, overlaying fabric, weaving, stitching, and others.
